Project Overview
CCG (Scotland) Ltd and CCG OSM were challenged with constructing 108 new homes on a brownfield site North of Glasgow City Centre. This is a landmark development for the CCG Group as it utilises the full CCG offsite package offering a fully closed panel solution inclusive of insulation, services, windows, doors and external cladding. Each stage of the off-site process was undertaken in CCG OSM's 130,000 sq ft facility, a semi-automated production line with only minimal external on-site fabric work required. This project represents only the second time this external cladding has been used: the innovative Alumasc Brick Slip technology - external cladding that replicates a brick façade which has an A2 resistance fire rating and is fully BBA accredited: a hybrid of building technology. The use of offsite technology was crucial to achieve the energy standards set forth by the client and Glasgow City Council as well as the onsite benefits, a key aspect with a site that has a number of level changes as well as having only one point of access for the duration of the project.
