Skanska’s offsite venture hires ex-Sisk manager as director

13th August, 2020

BoKlok UK has appointed Sisk regional director Noel Sheehan as its new delivery director.

Sheehan, who has previously worked as a construction director for Vinci and operations director for Galliford Try, has already started work at the offsite housing developer, which is a joint venture between Skanska and Ikea.

BoKlok has recently exchanged contracts on its first three sites in England – at Bristol, Worthing, and Peacehaven in east Sussex – with the developments expected to complete in 2021.

BoKlok UK managing director Graeme Culliton said: “Noel brings a wealth of industry experience – he has held senior positions in Galliford Try, Vinci UK and most recently was a regional director with John Sisk.

“Noel and his team will focus on delivering our projects from their inception through to construction and handover — essentially ensuring that our customers enjoy living in quality, sustainable and affordable homes.”

Sheehan added that he was “enticed by the prospect of offsite construction methods”, which will “bring to the construction process a higher quality product in the most efficient means”.
