SES Prism relocating to Coventry creating 40 jobs

25th August, 2019

An award-winning engineering specialist has announced plans to relocate a manufacturing facility to Coventry creating around 40 jobs.

SES Engineering Services (SES) will move its dedicated off-site manufacturing arm, Prism, to new 68,000sq ft premises at Coventry Business Park at Dolomite Avenue.

The relocation from York will create jobs in manufacturing and assembling mechanical and electrical (M&E) products.

Steve Tovey, SES' Business Unit Director for Prism said: "We are immensely proud of SES' long history in producing innovative MEP offsite solutions through our Prism factory and have chosen Coventry for our new offsite manufacturing facility because of its engineering heritage and the availability of high quality, skilled people.

"Our relocation and expansion is a result of an increased use of offsite solutions on MEP projects across the country and we are committed to ensuring this translates into local job creation and community up-skilling for people in Coventry.

"We're looking for the right people to join Prism and become part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving efficiencies in the construction industry."

What is Prism?

Prism is SES' flagship offsite facility, responsible for creating M&E services for some of the UK's largest and most complex buildings.

The £180m turnover M&E contractor has a successful pedigree in the use of offsite manufacturing and has won the award for "Best Use of MEP & Pod Technology" at the Offsite Awards for the fourth consecutive year.

Since 2007, the business has been located at a 42,000 sq ft facility in York, with the new site at 2300 Coventry Business Park, Dolomite Avenue, Coventry expected to open in September.
