James Pikett appointed director of development at start-up modular builder.
Project Etopia has appointed Berkeley Group veteran James Pikett to be the firm's first development director.
The modular housing start-up, which secured £19m in funding from the Reuben Brothers last year, said Pikett will lead the firm's land acquisition plans and work on engaging with local authorities and securing planning permission.
Pikett was head of development at Berkeley Group's St Edward brand. He has also spent time at Weston Homes, Taylor Wimpey and Countryside.
Project Etopia was set up by chief executive Joseph Daniels and has opened a 2,000-home per year capacity modular housing factory in Ellesmere Port.
The chairman is Lord Fink, former chief executive of hedge fund Man Group and a former treasurer of the Conservative party.
