A Dorset-based modular builder has increased profit before tax significantly, as well as boosting sales close to £50m.
In the year to 31 December 2018, Rollalong increased operating profit to £4.1m, up from £792,000 in the previous year.
Turnover rose to £49.3m, up from £43.7m in the previous year.
The Wimborne-headquartered company produces buildings for use by local authorities, in education and in healthcare as well as homes, and accommodation for the armed forces.
During the period the business won a number of contracts, one of which was an order of 50 affordable homes for Magna Housing as part of a 600-unit scheme thought to be worth between £8m and £10m, delivery of which was scheduled for spring.
A statement accompanying the results read: "The improvement in 2018 followed the completion of certain problematic contracts.
"The company has continued to deliver a number of high quality projects including accommodation units to military sites under a series of contracts across the South of England, as well as schools and welfare units to local authorities in the Midlands.
"The new building systems have been and continue to be successful with greater manufacturing efficiencies being achieved."
