Module-AR has designed, manufactured and installed a modular school extension, using prefabricated single ply roofing sheets from IKO Polymeric
In response to growing demand, Bromley’s Parish CofE Primary School planned to increase its number of entry forms from two to three. The expansion required 12 additional classrooms and a group room, in addition to a toilet block and an entrance lobby.
The build had to be carried out within 30 weeks, with marginal disruption to the existing school. For this reason, a modular building was specified for the extension.
The full project required the complete removal of the site’s existing mobile buildings. Meanwhile, IKO Polymeric provided bespoke Amourplan single ply roofing sheets for the new build.
Module-AR installed the sheets as a mechanically-fastened roof system at its manufacturing facility. By prefabricating different elements, such as smoke vents and roof lights, the company simplified the installation process and reduced the amount of workmen required on site.
IKO Polymeric has achieved a SPRA Innovation Award for its work with Module-AR on the project.
