OneNinety Manufacturing has pulled together the best talent from manufacturing and offsite construction to launch its first factory in Stockton-on-Tees. Using an innovative manufacturing assembly line process, the company has now completed its first modules. On-site installation will begin in April and will be move-in ready in May.
Chief Executive, Yann Bomken, has extensive experience in manufacturing and explains "coming at modular from a manufacturing perspective is the key to our process. Increasing quality improves efficiencies, which means we can deliver fault free modules that are manufactured in 10 days and move-in ready in just 15 days."
Uniquely in the world of MMC, OneNinety is able to work with architects to adapt its modular system to meet the individual needs of the people who will be living in the building. OneNinety is also able to drastically reduce energy costs, using a combination of renewable technologies i.e. PV panels and battery storage, to deliver net zero ready buildings. Modules are assembled in the company's 6700m2 factory, which has a capacity for 1000 units a year.
Bomken continues, "Our senior team is brought together from manufacturing and offsite. We've gained knowledge and experience from working in companies such as Barratts and Mars Inc, to working on the £240m London Wall Place project and delivering the first completely defect free modules off the Corus Living line. This experience frames everything we do — from understanding and applying manufacturing principles, to the transparent and open relationship we create with clients."
