ModuleCo Healthcare are proud to announce that HRH The Princess Royal visited our award-winning facility at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham last week to cut the ribbon and officially open the facility.
The state-of-the-art two storey facility which consists of a four theatre suite, 6 bed recovery and 20 bed ward was built offsite using Modern Methods of Construction.
HRH is the Patron of The Royal College of Occupational Therapists, taking the time to speak with clinical staff about innovative models of care at the hospital, including robotic-assisted surgery and a trial of day case knee replacements by Consultant Surgeon Akash Sharma.
HRH also helped plant a tree in the hospital’s new Platinum Jubilee Orchard, planted as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy, a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
During her visit, HRH toured the new complex and met members of the ROH team.
Alan Wilson, Managing Director of MCH, said, "It was an honour to meet HRH The Princess Royal as she officially opened the facility. We are delighted to have successfully delivered both phases of this prestigious project and to see the benefits it has brought to the Trust."
