Explore the Potential of Digital Construction

12th December, 2017

Explore the potential of digital construction and understand how best to implement it into your offsite construction strategy at Explore Offsite Outlooks - brought to you by BRE and Explore Offsite.

The pace of technological change will not let up, so it needs to be embraced. While other industries may have made the digital leap earlier, the construction revolution is now well underway, and the combination of offsite manufacturing and digital construction technology presents a powerful proposition.

Taking place on 28 February 2018 at BRE - Watford, Explore Offsite Outlooks will look at the road ahead as roles and disciplines blur to the role of a new generation of digital natives to whom BIM will just be business as usual and who will understand the real meaning of integration, interoperability and design for manufacture and assembly.

Hear from John Eynon, Engagement Lead at BIM Alliance who will present on 'Digital procurement, standardisation and transformation', where he will discuss digital transformation and standardisation, drivers for change, case study examples and the place of the UK BIM alliance in leading implantation of BIM Level 2 across industry.

Ben Lever, Future Skills Manager at CITB & Ian Buckingham, Competency Framework Designer at the Manufacturing Technology Centre will present a joint discussion on 'Constructing the offsite workforce' - where they will give an update on new qualifications and training.

Jaimie Johnston, Head of Global Systems at Bryden Wood will deliver a session on 'Delivery Platforms for Government Assets' where he will demonstrate how a highly productive, manufacturing-led approach to industrialised construction is being adopted by major government and private sector clients in the UK, and the dramatic benefits this is delivering.

Other conference speakers include:

• Daniel Leech, Managing Director of CADCOE
• Andrew Orriss, Sales Director of SIG360
• Frank McLeod, UK Head of Project Technology at WSP
• Oliver Lowrie, Director of Ackroyd Lowrie

Explore Offsite Outlooks is a one-day conference and exhibition that will create a platform for clients and their professional advisers, contractors and project managers and offsite technology suppliers to network with industry experts to discuss the latest developments in digital construction for the offsite sector.
