Eco Building Business Inspires a New Generation

13th August, 2015

Inspired Building Systems, a business specialising in providing schools with Eco buildings and classrooms, has launched a new project to encourage tree-planting in the UK.

As part of their ongoing commitment to sustainability, Inspired Building Systems has pledged to donate twenty trees for every new school Eco building project they receive, launching their '20 Trees' project this month supporting Trees for Life.

Statistics from The Forestry Commission have recently shown that tree-planting rates have plummeted. To try and tackle this issue and offset their own carbon footprint, Inspired Building Systems, creators of Eco buildings for schools in the UK, have started their '20 Trees' campaign - enabling the schools that they build for to benefit from Eco conscious designs that not only give long-term solutions to the school, but also the ability to encourage and inspire a younger generation to benefit from forests around the UK.

For every Eco building purchased and built by Inspired Building Systems, 20 trees will be purchased from Trees for Life to be planted in UK forests. Gavin Wilkes from the company said "We are really excited to introduce this project. Restoring a UK based natural forest further supports our environmental goals and provides an opportunity to introduce the benefits of planting trees to schools and our partners. Our commitment to donate 20 trees for every Eco building project will reduce the impact of our activities and provide a lasting legacy for future generations."

Inspired Building Systems believe that the quality of a learning environment plays an essential role in the effectiveness of teaching and learning. With tight timescales, rising energy costs and challenging budgets, they provide innovative solutions to create inspirational teaching and learning environments. They are education specialists, whose team have over 30 years' experience of working closely with head teachers, business managers, governors, contractors, consultants and architects to successfully deliver enhanced - early years, primary and secondary learning environments - whether they be timber classrooms, classroom extensions or modular buildings.

Inspired Building Systems even provide schools with a learning package where children learn about sustainable construction, energy and resources, along with their Trees for Life certificate to empower Eco-conscious learning.

With their first '20 Trees' build signed up this month, they are hoping to get many more on board and raise more Eco-awareness across the UK. "If we can play just a small part of implementing a better future for the children who learn in our classrooms, then we have done what we set out to achieve with this project."
