Council starts search for offsite contractor for Norfolk schools work

Offsite contractors have been put on notice for an education deal across Norfolk.

The county council is looking for a single contractor for four schemes at Norwich, Caister-on-Sea, Downham Market and Mundesley.

The work will involve building specialist resource bases at schools with work due to finish next autumn.

The resources being provided include speech, language, occupational and music therapy.

In a Prior Information Notice (PIN) the council said: "The current intention is to use modern methods of construction offsite construction for a turnkey solution.

"The purpose of this PIN is to inform potential contractors of this project and invite discussion regarding likely build rates and potential programmes for delivery by the third quarter of 2021.
