10th June, 2019

Building envelope contractor FK Group has bought architectural aluminium manufacturer Premo Fabrications.

The move comes as Altrincham based FK Group revealed a strong set of results.

Turnover for the year to 31 March 19 was up 60% on last time at £107m generating a pre-tax profit of £2.5m.

This year is also looking positive with £80m already contracted and another £20m in the order book for 2020/2021.

North-East based Premo Fabrications specialises in the design and manufacture of aluminium architectural fabrications, rainscreen, windows, doors and curtain walling.

The deal strengthens FK Group’s offsite capability.
Chief Executive Francis Keenan said: “Our pipeline for 2019/2020 is solid with over £80m worth of projects secured, so we remain positive about the future.

“Our confidence has led us to develop our offering and strengthen our brand with the purchase of our partner, Premo Fabrications.

“With the market’s emphasis moving increasingly to Modern Methods of Construction developing off-site has been in our plans for a while.
“As a longstanding partner with a strong understanding of our business, they are the right fit.”
