Launched in 2015, the team behind the BBA Approved Alumasc Ventilated System (AVS) are pleased to announce that this fully engineered facade system has reached the final of the Offsite Construction Awards.
As a leading UK based manufacturer – Alumasc Facade Systems developed this advanced solution to meet the requirements and guidelines set out by both the NHBC and TRADA for timber framed construction. Due to the system’s free flowing cavity, it remains both continuously ventilated and drained whilst maintaining detailing true to traditional build expectations. This ensures the timber substrate sustains its ventilation requirements, removing condensation and preventing moisture tracking back to the building fabric, providing a protected structure.
AVS has been shortlisted for the Product Innovation Award – a wide ranging category recognising ground breaking products that meet the appropriate UK building regulations together with health and safety standards – solutions that play an integral role in the offsite construction market.
With over 145 entries across 12 categories, the Awards have been packed full of outstanding, pioneering projects, products and people. The winners will be announced at a reception taking place on 01 December at the Inmarsat Conference Centre, London.
